"I kept looking for happiness, and then I realized: This is it. It's a moment, and it comes, and it goes, and it'll come back again. I yearn for things, but at the same time, I'm just peaceful." — Nicole Kidman

Kiddie Mario Kart...
The kids had their own game of Double Dash Mario Kart! Cute lil' Erica went so slow, the other kid probably lapped her like 20 times and then it was time to stop but she just kept going and then our crowd of like 15 people was yelling stop and I guess she loved the attention AND just kept going! It was too cute! ;D

Mario Kart... grown up style!
On the way to the campground, I saw a place off the side of the road and I told Jamie I wanted to go there... it was the Go Kart place. Then we make it to the campground and met up with the family. Come to find out, everyone else saw it and were planning on going. Well the slick track was for people who had their license and the grown ups decide to show their competitive side and here are some pics to show it!! Only thing missing is mushrooms to make you go fast, red shells to take out the person in front of you and the star that makes you unstoppable!!

Viva Las Vegas!!!
The first weekend in April, Jamie and I went to Vegas with some of Jamie's friends. It was a nice break from the kids (though I missed Devon very much!!!)... but still nice. Here are some pictures from the trip.

Mr. Social...
So last night, after we got home from our camping trip, we went to Jamie's good friend's home for a cookout (some dang good food!). But they live on a pretty busy street with cars driving by constantly. Well, Devon wanted to wave to just about every car that drove by and said "Hi!" Clear as can be... Hi! He's my friendly lil' man... just like his father!

Devon had his 18 month check up!
Devon had his 18 month check up this morning. He is very healthy and growing the way he should. He weighs 28.6 lbs and is 33 inches long! He's more than half of me! He also got 4 shots :( There was 2 nurses who gave him 2 shots in each leg. He knew even before they did it, what was goin' on... he started getting this look on his face like "please don't." Well after the shots were given, he glared at the one nurse and pouted up his lips and watched her as she left.... all the while the other nurse was there. Well, while we were out front he decided to take off running towards the back and found Jay and held his arms out for her to pick him up! He already knows what he wants when it comes to women! Like father... like son! ScArY!! But back to the appointment, the only thing the doctor is concerned with is, Devon doesn't really talk. So we have to go back in 3 months for a follow up and if he still isn't talking, we will have to have his ears checked :(

Devon is a BiG bOy now!!
Ok... so I don't know if the video will work... so far it is not here BUT Devon was making faces and laughing and all sorts of things. I will work on getting it to work. Last night it was time for Devon to eat. He has always sat in his high chair to eat but last night he went for the chair. So I decided to sit him there to see how he would act. He sat there like a big boy and ate his food. He wasn't trying to get down (he is very busy). And he didn't need a booster seat either! I called Jamie to tell him what he was doing and he said we needed to get him a booster seat and he really didn't believe me until he saw the pic text I sent him! I will work this weekend on getting pictures from my cellphone and the video to work! :D
Have a great day and Happy Mother's Day to all the Mother's!! :D

Blake's choir performance... "It's Saturday!"
So last night Blake had his Spring choir performance and I decided to pick up Devon before hand and just take him because I knew I would be tired to get him after. Well, Jamie thought it was a bad idea and when we first got there and he was running around like a mad man, I was thinking the same thing... BUT as soon as the kids started piling in and the lights dimmed and singing began, Devon, like a big boy sat in my lap and drank his water and watched the performance! Half way through, he started to squirm and he wanted to be on Daddy's lap!
About the performance, they did a great job and the theme was really cute. It was the different things kids do on Saturday... each song was a different thing. There was "do nothing", "watch cartoons", "chores" (Jamie's fav), "my mother, the coach" (my fav), "slumber party" and "scary stories" ~I think that was one of them~ but you get the idea. They did a good job though.
I was a little upset though because this time I did remember the camera but the batteries I grabbed would only let me take 2 pics and then it would die. I do have a few, I will post soon.
Bye for now!

Missin' people from Salt Lake :(
As many of you know, I am originally from Salt Lake City and though I spent 25 years trying to leave (and about 6 months trying to get back in!), there are many many many things that make me homesick! Here are a few pics of why... though I don't have a pic here of one major reason and her name is Muff-a-luff-a-lee! She is the bestest friend in the whole wide world!!!! Miss you!
And so many more things... but these are a few to start!
